Weekend in Halstead

Halstead Old Settler's was this weekend, the kids enjoyed the parade. Especially Grandpa and Grandma on the class of 64 float...

Cooper liked the suckers the best.
Aunt Pammie's new pool opened this weekend too, so we took the kids a couple times. This would be them getting ready to go.

We've set up our own waterslide in the backyard for the kids on the weekend, they love it.

Baby Trinity

Baby Trinity came to visit and spent the evening with us while her mommy and daddy went out for dinner. Shelby absolutely loves Trinity and fussed over her the whole time she was here and wanted her picture take with her.

Shelby even spread her frog blanket out for Trinity to lay on. Those of you who know Shelby know she doesn't share her frog blankets with anyone until Trinity. They were so cute together.

July 4th...I know it's a few weeks late.

July 4th has become a big deal in our neighborhood. The day starts with breakfast at 8...continues thru with the Lenexa parade, neighborhood water fight, visit from the fire station, and end with a block party with great food and dancing until 11. We had a blast this year. Shelby stayed up for the waterfight this year and was out in the middle of the cul-de-sac throwing balloons at everyone.

Shelby helped Shawn tie water balloons until midnight on the 3rd.

One thing about having 2 kids this young. Never get a great posed picture, but this will do. And yes Cooper managed to pour a cup of water down the front of himself before the water fight even started.

Shelby had her cheeks painted with pink and purple (her fav colors) fireworks. She thought she was pretty cool.

It's been way too long...I know...

Some random fun pictures of the kiddos from May and June. It's been a busy spring/summer around here. We've got the backyard fenced in now and the kid's playset up so they love playing outside now.

Sorry we're skipping the month of March and moving right into April.

Some photos from the weekend. Grandpa Ken and Grandma Paula came for a visit, we went to the church easter egg hunt on saturday, the kids had a great time and got candy and stickers and fun stuff. Sunday we went to church and just relaxed for the day.

IT SNOWED AGAIN!!

Although I have had my fill of cold weather and am entirely ready for spring, the kids had a great time in their snow suits playing today. According to the weather people, we were expected to get 1-3"...hmmm, if Iwere wrong as much as them I'm sure I would be fired by now. Anyway, enjoy the pics, even though Shelby is screaming, she did have fun...the boys just scared her for a second.
