It's not Christmas until Santa visits

Santa has made a habit of making a special early trip to our neighborhood. This year is no exception. He stopped by lastnight, and brought a present for each of the kids. He's such a nice guy, letting them open presents early.
Shelby did really good this year, and was very excited to see Santa.
Cooper was a different story, maybe next year.
All the neighborhood kids...minus Cooper
Ashley even had to have her picture taken with Santa...
she's still a kid no matter what she says.

Shelby's first 'real' haircut

So I know she's already had a haircut, that was just a little trim, then an actual haircut where I cut a significant amount of hair. But this we her first haircut at the salon. We were in Manhattan for graduation, and of course if I get the chance to make a trip to Manhattan, I'm getting my hair cut. Shelby also got her's trimmed, and she was such a good little girl for it. We're so proud of her.

It's been a while.

So I figured we would start with a few random pictures from the past month.

Cooper 'reading'
Shelby & Cooper playing nice, temporarily.

Shelby has finally started letting us 'do' her hair some days....
this day she wanted her piggies...
However, we're still working on the not wanting her picture taken thing...

A PERFECT AUTUMN DAY

Sunday was a perfect autumn day. The leaves had turned and the trees in the backyard were beautiful. The ground was covered in leaves, which we decided would make a perfect setting for some pictures of the kids. They turned out great, and the kids had fun playing in the leaves.

GO STATE

I the words of Shelby - GO STATE!!....they may have lost on Saturday, but we'll still root for them around here.

TRUNK OR TREAT

Our church has what we call trunk or treat on October 26th. Everyone decorates the trunks of their vehicles and then the kids trick or treat thru the line of trunks. The kids were so cute in their costumes. Cooper is our little Tigger, and Shelby is our little cowgirl. She even said yee-haw.

PUMPKINS, PUMPKINS FOR EVERYONE

I know I'm behind on posting. We picked out pumpkins on October 25th. Shelby pointed to the first one she saw and said,"I want that one." We made her at least look at the rest of the pumpkins, but she ended up back at the very first one again.

Weekend trip to Ewing

Well, the kids and I made the trip to Ewing with Aunt Billie on friday night. Of course I had to take some pictures and these are my 3 favorites. Cooper is such a ham for the camera and well for Shelby it just depends on her mood. Enjoy the photos.

Weekend cuties

So because I knew it had been a while since we last posted, I decided to take some pictures of the kids yesterday. Cooper was highly cooperative and I got some really cute ones. Shelby was a little less cooperative (she's into the run away from the camera game and when she comes face to lense with the camers, she turns her head) so her's are not quite as cheesy as Cooper's, but still just as adorable.

Presents from Aunt Pam

When I got home the other night, there was a box on the table (a sign Aunt Billie had stopped by over lunch). Presents from Aunt Pammie, just because she loves us. Shelby and Cooper had fun opening them. Shelby actually had to pull every last piece of paper from the box before opening it. Enjoy the photos.

Shelby's haircut

We finally did it again, trimmed Shelby's hair on 10/4. I know I'm behind, the story our my life. It had hit that point where she was constantly pushing it out of her eyes. Of course after we cut it and she got a bath she certainly wasn't going to let me get any good photos and kept running away from the camera.

The next morning she insisted on going out on the deck and curling up in one of the chairs and I thought the pictures were just too cute not to post. You can kind of see her haircut too.

Weekend in Halstead

I say weekend in Halstead and we really didn't spend much time in Halstead. We had a great weekend and visited lots of friends and family.

The kids had fun playing while we visited Grandma J.

Cooper's such a ham for the camera.

I love this picture...she's getting so big.

I had to post this one because it makes me laugh everytime I look at it.

The kids, Grandma Joyce and I went to the Hutchinson zoo. They have the cutest little train that goes not very far into the park, but Shelby and Cooper both really liked it. Shelby kept saying choo-choo..
